A spectacular creation named the “Dubai Dress” has set a new Guinness World Record for being the world’s heaviest gold garment, unveiled at the 56th Middle East Watch and Jewellery Show in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
Designed by Al Romaizan Gold & Jewellery, a Saudi Arabian luxury brand, the dazzling dress weighs 10.0812 kilograms and is made of 21-carat gold, encrusted with precious and semi-precious stones. Valued at nearly Rs 9.65 crore, the piece has become a global symbol of artistry, innovation, and luxury craftsmanship.
The Guinness recognition highlights Dubai’s position as a leading global hub for the gold and jewellery industry, where tradition and technology blend to create masterpieces that redefine opulence.
Intricately designed, the garment draws inspiration from Middle Eastern art and culture, featuring handcrafted motifs symbolizing prosperity, elegance, and grace. The shimmering ensemble showcases the skill of regional artisans who worked meticulously to achieve the perfect balance between weight, beauty, and structure
Although not designed for commercial use, the record-breaking dress will soon be showcased at fashion and jewellery exhibitions across Europe and Asia, representing the Middle East’s growing influence in the world of luxury couture.
