Chandrakanthi public School hosts thrilling Kovai Sahodhaya handball tournament

The Handball Field at Chandrakanthi Public School, Coimbatore, buzzed with excitement as the school hosted the 9th Kovai Sahodhaya Schools Complex Inter-School Handball Tournament 2025. The two-day event celebrated youthful spirit, sportsmanship, and teamwork through thrilling matches.
The tournament began on October 9 with Under-14 and Under-17 Girls’ matches, followed by Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19 Boys’ categories on October 10. More than 550 students from reputed schools across several districts participated, each determined to bring glory to their institution. Every goal scored and every save made filled the grounds with cheers, reflecting passion, unity, and perseverance.
Officials from the Handball Association of Coimbatore District (HACD), led by Mr. Thankumar, Secretary, graced the occasion and appreciated the school’s efforts in promoting handball at the inter-school level.

Following the success of its Football Tournament in September, Chandrakanthi Public School once again demonstrated its commitment to nurturing sports talent. The school described handball as a game that teaches trust, timing, and teamwork—values essential both on and off the field.
Expressing gratitude to the Kovai Sahodhaya Schools Complex, the school management said hosting the event was an honor and a proud moment in shaping champions with discipline and sportsmanship.
